The Committee members including the university’s administrators of different faculties and institutes received vaccination on this day so as to prepare for the coming vaccination period in June, when a lot of people will come. Besides, during the period, the administrators have to be on duty and so should be first vaccinated. He himself as a medical professional is also under the risk group who should be vaccinated first.

“I think vaccination is necessary, for the contract of the disease can become severe. The more people are vaccinated the more benefits there will be for herd immunity. KKU will continue to campaign on campus so that at least 70-80% of the over 50,000 staff and students will be vaccinated. The campaign will emphasize the importance and accurate understanding,” Assoc. Prof. Kriengkrai Kitcharoen said.

Asst. Prof. Arwut Yimtae, Vice President for Infrastructure and Environment said that vaccination against Covid-19 is necessary and urgent. As many Thai people as possible should be vaccinated. We should not worry about the side effects, for the chances are little and not severe. Asst. Asst. Prof. Denpong Soodphakdee, Ph.D., Vice President for Digital said that vaccination is necessary to make everything return to normal condition and the people can live their lives normally. The best vaccine is the most urgent vaccine we receive, as is said by a renown doctor. He wanted Thai people to receive vaccination and not to worry, for Covid will be with us for some time. Vaccination means being prepared, and the leaders of organizations must build confidence in this regard.

“Khon Kaen University is the center to carry out vaccination service to the people. Therefore, the working team must be prepared to facilitate everything during that period. The administrators should therefore be vaccinated first so that they can do their duty to the best of their capacity, and with relief that they have already been vaccinated. Even though there is the possibility to contract the disease, the severity is lessened. Khon Kaen University takes key responsibility in carrying out this mission and coordinating with public health organizations in Khon Kaen. Everything is well planned for the vaccination period,” Asst. Prof. Denpong Soodphakdee said.
