The Faculty in this regard is aiming towards education innovations that will upgrade the quality level of the national education.

Assoc. Prof. Sumalee Chaicharoen, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty revealed that in the fiscal year 2022, the faculty will adjust the strategic plans and design key projects that will respond to the national educational policy as well as the policies of Khon Kaen University, namely, transforming the higher education, upgrading educational research towards Q1 and Q2 in parallel with research studies that solve social problems, building innovations that can be put in real practice, providing academic services that emphasize share values in the form of CSV, and finally expediting SDGs, especially SDG4 (quality education for all through life-long learning). The educational strategy will be one that transforms learning into a new paradigm that accents more on learning experiences than knowledge transferring. This will include learning projects under the scope of teaching profession such as TPACK/STEM/PLC/ Computational Thinking/ AI / Research/ thinking skills as well as construction of the learning environment with digital technology, Hybrid Classroom, learning space and EDINNO Space innovations.

In addition, there will be projects for developing future teacher programs (designing and constructing new-paradigm programs), projects for building graduates’ competitive skills and competency, which will be in parallel with a project that develops educational entrepreneurship skills, a project that strengthens the capacities of professors and lecturers in preparing excellence graduates, a project that responds to the social disruptive changes, and a project related to digital technology that will be under collaboration with leading institutions both in the country and abroad.

The Faculty has also set 3 funds to support the said strategies: research, innovation, and academic service fund, academic development fund (for writing textbooks, scholarships for continuing studies, training scholarships, etc.), and welfare funds for personnel. There is also a strategy for internationalization, in which the Faculty will emphasize reputation making at an international level through research works.

Moreover, the Faculty will build atmosphere with supporting facilities and utilities that will respond to the internationalization policy. The Faculty administration system will be carried out with an aim for excellence in management, by using technologies, Business Continuity Management, building personnel administration system that will bring the Faculty towards being a national leading education faculty. These can be achieved by promoting progress of the personnel and preparing them to be ready for the future (future skill development) that can be done by means of individual assessment of OKRs.

The Faculty also looks for the chance for sustainable income raising by management of the intellectual properties (Educational Entrepreneurs for Social Enterprise and Business Challenge). This can be done with collaboration from the business and industrial sector.

The last strategy is upgrading the Demonstration School for excellence and at the same time supporting the Faculty’s mission, by modifying the paradigm and stepping towards being an innovation-leader where school students have creative thinking and become innovators in the digital era.
