KKU is observing strict measures during the Royal Degree Conferral Ceremony and providing facilities all through the event

Khon Kaen University scheduled the 2021 Royal Degree Conferral Ceremony on December 9-13, 2021. Following is the detail of the plans for the event that will be carried out with strict measures against Covid and with facilities provided along all traffic routes on campus. All coming to the ceremony can be assured of the safety.

The measures for safety and precautions against the Corona virus 2019 (COVID-19) during the 2021 Degree Conferral Ceremony will be stricter than the past year, although the pandemic situation is becoming less tense. The University has planned everything for the readiness of the measures to be taken and the facilities to be provided. This is in order to ensure the graduates, the parents and relatives, lecturers, students and staff on duty of the highest level of safety on campus. The measures are planned to be carried out as of December 9, 2021, when the graduates are reporting at their respective faculties, all through the big rehearsal on December 10-11 and the ceremony on December 12-13. The regulations for those entering the University will be in accordance with the measures for prevention and control of the disease of the Ministry of Public Health and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation. Those coming to KKU can be assured of their safety, and all are required to:

Wear a surgical mask or cloth mask at all time

Register and scan the Thai Chana QR Code provided at different points

Check the temperature at the different screening points at different faculties and attach the sticker

Khon Kaen University may restrict entrance of those having the temperature higher than 37.5 degrees, or those having respiratory symptoms such as cough, running nose, sore throat, feeling tired, having difficulty breathing, to the University.

Keep physical distancing of at least 1-2 meters while participating in the activities with a lot of people

Observe personal hygiene by washing hands regularly with clean water or alcohol gel

Those entering KKU campus must have the identification cards and ready to show the identification to the officers at the Ceremonial venue.

All must strictly follow the University’s traffic regulations. Those driving into the University must use the entrances set by the University. Only those having the invitation card or a pass can enter the area of the Golden Jubilee Convention Center.

Selling goods on campus is forbidden except those authorized by the University.

In addition to the measures against COVID – 19, Khon Kaen University has set the traffic system regulations for the Degree Conferral Ceremony from December 9 until December 13, 2021 as follows:

December 9, 2021: The graduates report at their respective faculties. The traffic will be as usual, but with officers in charge to provide convenience for campus road users.

The traffic route from Si Than Lane 1 to the Demonstration School (of the Faculty of Education) is closed from 04:00 a.m. – 18:00 p.m. for the big rehearsal.

The route – on Wittayawattana  Road – from the traffic lights in front of the Security Division to the intersection in front of the Faculty of Technology and the FM 103 Radio Station is closed on December 10, 2021 from 06:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and on December 11, 2021 from 06:00 a.m. – 16:00 p.m. The closed routes can be checked out from the link: https://th.kku.ac.th/wp-content/uploads/2021/12/traffic2564.pdf

On December 12-13, 2021 – The 3 free shuttle bus pick-up and get-off points for those joining the ceremony at the Golden Jubilee Convention Center are: Jaturamuk Building at the Agricultural Park, Faculty of Law, and the Sports Center. The shuttle bus will be operating as follows:

December 12, 2021: 10:00 a.m. – 17:00 p.m.

December 13, 2021: 04:00 a.m. – 18:00 p.m.
