KKU attends UNESCO’s conference to show Thai educational innovation

Director of Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN joins the conference collaborated by South Korea and UNESCO and gives a special talk on Thai educational innovation

From June 17-19, 2019, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha, Acting Director of Institute for Research and Development in Teaching Profession for ASEAN, Director of Center for Research in Mathematics Education (CRME), President of Thailand Society of Mathematics Education, and International Committee of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education (IGPME), together with Dr. Narumol inprasitha, Chairperson of Language Learning Program, Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, were invited by Korea National University of Education to attend UNESCO-UNITWIN Cooperation Program for Quality Teacher Education: The 1st International Seminar on Quality Teach Education at Korea National University of Education in South Korea.

This conference was organized under the major collaboration between The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) from headquarter in Paris and Korea National University of Education in South Korea. It was an honored to have Prof. Hee Chan Lew, President of Korea National University of Education, presiding over the opening ceremony, and Eun-hee Choi, Director of Foreign Affairs of South Korea’s Ministry of Education, as well as Kwangho Kim, Secretary General of Korean National Commission for UNESCO, also attended the ceremony.     

On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maitree Inprasitha was the Thailand’s representative giving a talk on “Who Can Bring Innovation into School-Thailand Experience?” Moreover, at the conference there were many topics presented and discussed, such as Education Innovation, and Development, Teacher Education and Programmes, Education Curriculum and learning technology, Education Policy and teacher qualification, Teaching and Learning, and Contents, Teaching and Learning, and Counseling, and Panel Discussion: A Way Forward for a Solution.
