KKU tough runners receive 100 km finisher T-shirts, highlighting KKU Healthy Life

KKU encourages staff to collect 100 km distance run and receive finisher T-shirt to put stress on KKU Healthy Life and enhance work efficiency  

   On August 21, 2019 at 9.3o a.m. at Sirikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University organized T-shirt giving ceremony for 100 km run finishers participating in KKU Healthy Life activity. Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee, Vice President for Digital University Development, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyawat Foytong, Assistant to the President for Infrastructure and Environment, remarked report speech. The ceremony was attended by over 400 staff members who were KKU Healthy Life runners.

    Asst. Prof. Dr. Denpong Soodphakdee said KKU Healthy Life responded to the Ecological Policy of the university attempting to promote best place to work. The university created environment that is proper for working to make the staff aware of good health care and relaxation for stronger mind and better teamwork affecting work efficiency. The project was proceeded warmly until the end, and staff had developed good relationship that would lead to improvement in other aspects.

    Assoc. Prof. Chavi Yenjai, a lecturer of Chemistry Program, the Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University, revealed, “KKU Healthy Life is a great activity. This is my first time to see the staff become so active in exercising that new runner community just happened. The staff were encouraged to take care of their health, and they could make friends when running. Then collaboration between faculties or offices can be smoother. There will be exchange of opinions, too. I hope this activity will be held again because I believe that the staff are still aware of their health, so they’ll continue running.”

    KKU Healthy Life started on June 25, 2019. Participants, over 1,100 people in this year, could submit their recorded distance from July 1-August 31, 2019 via Workplace whose project name was “KKU Healthy Life.” The first 500 participants who had recorded the total 100 km received the finisher T-
