KKU LDRG Research Group transfers laser technology innovation online – another path towards KKU’s Medical Hub

The Specialized Research Group in Dental Laserology of Faculty of Denstry, Khon Kaen University has been supported by the Research Section and Graduate School of the university to carry out the project: “Innovative Laser Dentistry towards Khon Kaen University Medical Hub”, which aims to disseminate and transfer knowledge, research works, technologies and innovations in laser dentistry of Khon Kaen University towards the international level, and to acknowledge participants with knowledge and understanding in the working principle and application of innovations in laser dentistry for more efficient in patient treatment. The professors carrying out this project are: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sajee Sattayut, D.D.S., Asst. Prof. Dr. Suwadee Ua-aranyachot, D.D.S., Asst. Prof. Dr. Piyachat Patcharanuchat, D.D.S., and the team from the Specialized Research Group in Dental Laserology of Faculty of Denstry, Khon Kaen University.  

The 9 participants receiving the technology transfer are the first group and comprised the dean, associate dean, head of department, lecturers and graduate students from Faculty of Odonto-Stomatology, Can Tho University of Medicine and Pharmacy (CTUMP), Vietnam, who had been coordinated by Dr. Do Thi Thao, Chief of Administrative Office, an alumnus who graduated with a Ph.D. Degree in Dentistry from the faculty and who had, in the course of his studies, registered the Laser Dentistry Course.

The technology transfer course, which runs from July 27 thru October 28, 2020, is based on online software both for the theoretical and practical sessions, which is done on the KKU e-learning network. The discussion sessions will be done by means of Google Meeting. Besides the abovementioned objectives, the event also promotes development of the international collaborative network.
