Something to be proud of – KKU’s research on ‘Pathum Raksa’ wins the 7 Innovation Award 2020

September 17, 2020 at Pirat Hall, BITEC Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangna-Trat Road, Bangkok – Khun Rungtip Sarawong, Deputy Director of Khon Kaen University Science Park joined the “Thailand Synergy for Thai SMEs” and congratulated Assoc. Prof. Supinda Khoonmee, M.D., from Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine and her research team, on being awarded the 7 Innovation Awards 2020 for the ‘Pathum Raksa’ research on the diagnosis of breast cancer at the Prize Announcement and Awarding Ceremony organized by the National Innovation Project.

This event was aimed at assisting and supporting research work of each organization and SMEs entrepreneurs to have a marketing channel for experimenting on new products for consumers and to honor the researchers who have been working on the research and entrepreneurs who have created innovations. The outcome will be a chance for these competent people to publicize their works, their knowledge, skills and experiences and hence the country’s development in terms of innovative competitiveness. The research work on the process of breast cancer diagnosis is on a container that collects and keeps biopsy sample for detection of cancer cell before sending it to a pathologist for diagnosis, enabling precision tests and appropriate prescription of medicine and, in turn, a higher survival rate.
