August 15, 2025 – The Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education (YCCECE), a leading institution in Hong Kong specializing in early childhood education. The collaboration aims to elevate the quality of education and drive innovation in early childhood learning in line with international standards.
The signing ceremony was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Issara Kanjak, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education at Khon Kaen University, and Professor Kerry Lee, President of Yew Chung College of Early Childhood Education. The event was honored by the presence of Mr. Jaturon Chaiyakham, Consul-General of Thailand in Hong Kong, who attended as a witness, highlighting the commitment to building a strong and lasting international partnership.
Assoc. Prof. Issara Kanjak emphasized that under this agreement, the two institutions will collaborate on a wide range of academic initiatives. These include developing modernized curricula, conducting training programs to enhance the capacity of faculty members and educational professionals, promoting joint research to generate new knowledge and innovations, and organizing short-term student exchange programs. Such exchanges will enable students to gain cross-cultural learning experiences and cultivate essential skills for the future world.
This partnership marks a significant milestone in advancing the Faculty of Education’s vision of becoming a “leading ASEAN Faculty of Education focused on educational innovation for sustainable development.” By joining forces with a globally recognized institution like YCCECE, the Faculty will strengthen its academic foundation, nurture early childhood educators as innovators, and generate knowledge that can be applied to improve the quality of education in Thailand in tangible and meaningful ways.
