KHON KAEN – Khon Kaen University’s International Affairs Division organized a three-day seminar from August 4-6, 2025, aimed at strengthening its international affairs network and effectively implementing the university’s internationalization strategy for the years 2026-2029.
The event, held at the Khon Kaen University campus and in the Phu Pha Man district, was designed to disseminate policies, facilitate the exchange of experiences, and improve collaborative practices among staff working on international initiatives.
The seminar began on August 4 at the Sarasin Meeting Room, where Asst. Prof. Kwankate Kanistanon, Acting Director of the International Affairs Division, delivered a report. Assoc. Prof. Nawarat Wara-aswapati, Vice President for International Affairs, officially opened the event and welcomed participants. The first day focused on presenting the university’s comprehensive internationalization strategy for 2026-2029, followed by a discussion session with network members.
On August 5, attendees traveled to Phu Pha Man district, where they were welcomed by Asst. Prof. Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Assistant to the President for International Affairs. The day’s agenda centered on updated operational guidelines and included several key presentations. Sakhin Khaochaimaha, an Information Technology Officer, introduced a new service system for foreign nationals covering visas and MOUs, addressing user feedback and technical questions. International Relations Officer Wilawan Ungsunantawiwat provided details on the International Learning Experience Scholarship for students, while fellow officer Natphatjakorn Songsermthanet presented on the Inbound & Outbound Visiting Scholar programs.
A central activity of the second day was a workshop led by senior university officials. Participants conducted a SWOT analysis of international services and processes, brainstormed strategies for global development, and presented their findings.
The seminar concluded on August 6 with team-building exercises led by Ms. Wilawan Ungsunantawiwat. The event is anticipated to be a significant step in reinforcing Khon Kaen University’s international affairs network, driving the institution toward its goals of becoming a more efficient and sustainable international university.
