KKU Demonstration School Hosts Seminar on ‘The Right Curriculum… Through the Users’ Eyes’ to Reimagine the Future Secondary School Curriculum

On 1 November 2025, the Secondary Education Section of the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School (Modindaeng Campus) organised a seminar titled “The Right Curriculum… Through the Users’ Eyes” at the 4th Floor Meeting Room, 35th Anniversary Building. The seminar aimed to gather insights from multiple stakeholders to drive the development of a future-oriented secondary school curriculum, ensuring it aligns with students’ real needs and the evolving demands of society.

Associate Professor Issara Kanjak, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, presided over the opening ceremony, emphasising the importance of collaborative creation in designing a curriculum that addresses future challenges.

The event featured distinguished experts and experienced individuals from various fields, including:

  • Assistant Professor Angkana Boonyued, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Science
  • Assistant Professor Ajiravudh Subarnbhesaj, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry
  • Assistant Professor Sirimonbhorn Thipsingh, Dean of the International College
  • Assistant Professor Sirirak Laochankham, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Local Administration
  • Associate Professor Ratchaphon Suntivarakorn, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
  • Assistant Professor Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs (representing government agencies, alumni, and parents)
  • Dr. Kwil Jarungtawevetch, Private Sector Representative (alumnus and parent)
  • Mr. Vitawat Karpkrai Kaew, Co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of T.T. Software Solution Company (alumnus)

Additionally, six student representatives from Matthayom 3 and Matthayom 6 joined the discussion, alongside a substantial number of academics from the Secondary Education Section of the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School who attended the session.

In the afternoon session, the seminar transitioned into a workshop titled “Driving the Future Secondary Curriculum.” Administrators and faculty members engaged in a constructive exchange of ideas, focusing on student-centred learning management, building competencies through hands-on practice, and integrating artificial intelligence. The discussions also enhanced the role of the modern educator as a coach, learning leader, and inspirer, ensuring the curriculum design meets student needs and develops high-quality learners for the future world.

This seminar marks a significant step forward in the curriculum innovation process of the Khon Kaen University Demonstration School, reinforcing its vision to foster creative and innovative learners and its mission to become a model school for educational innovation. Moreover, the initiative aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by contributing to quality education and preparing future-ready graduates equipped to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
