KKU Faculty of Nursing Organises Workshop on ‘Using AI for Optimised Instruction and Work Efficiency’

Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Nursing hosted a training programme focused on leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance teaching methods, educational resource creation, and administrative efficiency.

Khon Kaen, Thailand – On 25 November 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University (KKU), organised a workshop titled, “Using AI for Optimised Instruction and Work Efficiency.” The programme was held in a hybrid format (onsite and online), presided over by Associate Professor Ampornpan Theeranut, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Nursing.

The workshop featured distinguished speakers, including Assistant Professor Denpong Soodphakdee, Ph.D., Vice President for Education and Digital, Khon Kaen University; Assistant Professor Anucha Somabut, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for Education; and Associate Professor Wattana Pattanagul, Ph.D., Director of the Centre for Teaching and Learning Innovation.

A large number of academic and support staff participated in the event held at the Sri Kalapaphruek Conference Room, Faculty of Nursing.

 

Associate Professor Ampornpan Theeranut, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, stated: “The objective of this training is to develop AI skills among our personnel, enhance their knowledge, and build competencies in applying AI technology in alignment with the faculty’s needs. This initiative promotes the efficient development of both instruction and work performance.”

“Currently, AI plays a crucial role in academic instruction and administrative work for both academic and support lines. Therefore, the faculty organised this training to develop essential AI skills, which will lead to the elevation of the quality of education and services in the future,” Associate Professor Theeranut remarked.

The comprehensive programme comprised lectures and practical training sessions covering several key topics, including: “Applying AI in Instructional Design,” “Creating Effective Learning Media using AI,” “Techniques for Using AI to Develop Documentation and Data Management,” and “Guidelines for Safe and Ethical Use of AI.” The event concluded with case studies and hands-on practice.
