On 9 January 2026, the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, through its Center of Excellence in Early Childhood Development, organised the 2026 National Children’s Day celebration at the Dok Peeb Courtyard, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University. The event aimed to promote holistic development among young children across physical, mental, emotional, social, and intellectual dimensions, within an atmosphere of happiness, warmth, and strong family participation.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst.Prof.Dr.Nittaya Panngam, Associate Dean for Academic Services and Special Affairs at the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, who presided over the opening ceremony and delivered encouraging words to the children to inspire their growth into quality youth for society’s future. Ms. Kiranawan Rakduangpoom, Chairperson of the Parent Committee, reported on the event’s objectives.

Ms. Kiranawan Rakduangpoom, representing the Parent Committee and event organisers, explained that this National Children’s Day event aimed to promote early childhood development through fun and creative learning activities, strengthen relationships between the early childhood development center, teachers, and families, provide opportunities for children to express themselves appropriately, help them feel love and care from adults, and bring happiness and smiles through recreational activities, performances, games, and various gifts and prizes. Participants included children from middle groups, older groups, and pre-kindergarten preparation groups.

In her opening address, Assistant Professor Dr. Nittaya Panngam emphasised that National Children’s Day serves as an important opportunity for children to gain direct experience, learn to live together in society, express themselves creatively, and most importantly, provides a platform for parents to participate in activities with their children, leading to stronger family relationships—a crucial foundation for developing children into quality adults in the future. She also thanked all personnel from the Center of Excellence in Early Childhood Development and all parents who collaborated to make the event successful.
The event featured performances by children from middle groups, older groups, and pre-kindergarten preparation groups, creating great enjoyment and lasting impressions for parents and attendees. The 2026 National Children’s Day event was conducted under the national motto “Love Thailand, Care for the World,” reflecting the cultivation of good character traits in children from a young age to prepare them as important contributors to the nation’s future.
