On Friday, January 23, 2026, the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, participated in the mobile medical unit operations of the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteer Foundation (Por.Or.Sor.Wor.) of Khon Kaen Province. The event was held at Ban Kao Ngiw School, Kao Ngiw Sub-district, Phon District, Khon Kaen.
The Faculty organized health promotion booths and provided training on Basic Life Support (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). The goal was to enhance life-saving knowledge and skills for pediatric and adult patients among interested members of the public, Thai Red Cross student volunteers, and caregivers from local early childhood development centers.

Opening Ceremony
The ceremony was presided over by Mr. Kajornkiat Rakpanichmanee, Governor of Khon Kaen Province. The proceedings included:

Paying homage and offering royal tributes to Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn Krom Phra Srisavangavadhana and Her Royal Highness Princess Galyani Vadhana Krom Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra.

Mr. Seksom Lindapornprasert, Phon District Chief, delivered the welcome address and reported on the objectives of the Por.Or.Sor.Wor. medical unit and the “Unit for Relieving Suffering, Nourishing Happiness, Creating Smiles for the People” project. The Governor and the delegation then visited the medical service stations, distributed relief goods and financial aid to the public, and visited the activity booths of participating agencies.

Following the field operation, the team conducted an After Action Review (AAR) for this 1st Mobile Medical Unit of 2026, highlighting the following key achievements:

Community Outreach & Support for the Vulnerable: The faculty team collaborated with local Caregivers (CG) to visit homes and assist disadvantaged groups. Notably, they successfully coordinated solutions regarding welfare rights access for a child with disabilities, ensuring the child received a proper diagnosis and correct entitlements.

CPR Training: Implementation of the “CPR Day” activity, providing life-saving skills training to students, teachers, parents, and the general public (covering both adult and child CPR).
