The Office of Academic Service (OAS) at Khon Kaen University is preparing to drive policies on corruption prevention and suppression. On 26 February 2026, the Office participated in an online meeting via Webex to discuss guidelines for signing grant agreements and managing projects under the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) Fund for the fiscal year 2026.
The OAS team was led by Associate Professor Chuchat Kamollerd, D.V.M., Ph.D., Director of the Office of Academic Service, along with Mrs. Chalalai Phuthotham, Senior Educator and Head of the Academic Service Mission for Executive Potential Development at the Social Academic Service Centre. Also in attendance were Ms. Siriporn Suwannahan and Ms. Umaporn Palasan, reflecting the Office’s commitment to organisational governance and transparency missions.
OAS KKU Secures Funding of Over 900,000 Baht
The Office of Academic Service at Khon Kaen University was selected to receive an allocation of 905,600 baht from the NACC Fund for the fiscal year 2026. This funding supports the “Project for Building Networks and Promoting Knowledge to Prevent Corruption in Educational Procurement,” which aligns with the NACC Fund’s fourth objective: to support state agencies in duties related to corruption prevention and suppression. In total, 161 projects were selected from over 200 proposals, amounting to a total support budget of over 153 million baht.
NACC Secretary-General Emphasises Tangible Impact for Every Project
During the meeting, Mr. Surapong Intharatworn, Secretary-General of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC), congratulated the funding recipients and highlighted key policies that all grantees must adhere to. He stated that the NACC Fund constitutes public money; therefore, grant recipients act as vital cogs representing the NACC in driving anti-corruption efforts. Consequently, rigorous supervision, monitoring, and evaluation are essential.
Furthermore, the NACC Secretary-General urged all projects to focus on genuine results rather than merely organising meetings or activities. Projects must demonstrate concrete outputs and outcomes that effectively contribute to law enforcement and corruption prevention. They must also play a part in elevating Thailand’s Corruption Perception Index (CPI).
This project not only responds to national policies but also aligns with Khon Kaen University’s strategies in two key dimensions: Social Devotion, through academic services to develop educational personnel on a broad scale, and Good Governance, focusing on transparent, accountable operations for the maximum benefit of the public.
The Office of Academic Service at Khon Kaen University is now ready to proceed with the project, aiming to be part of creating a transparent, fair, and corruption-free society for Thailand sustainably.
