Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, KKU, and National Intelligence Agency Sign MOU on Academic Cooperation

The partnership aims to facilitate student internships and career pathways into the public sector.

The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Khon Kaen University, has advanced its commitment to practical education by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on academic cooperation with the National Intelligence Agency. The agreement is designed to create internship opportunities for students, preparing them for careers in the public sector.

The signing ceremony took place on Friday, 27 March 2026, at the headquarters of the National Intelligence Agency in Bangkok. The MOU was signed by Associate Professor Orathai Piayura, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, and Mr. Weerasak Tipmontian, Deputy Director of the National Intelligence Agency for Administration. The event was attended by executives and staff from both institutions.
This collaboration is focused on bridging academic learning with real-world experience through internships and cooperative education programmes. It will provide students with the chance to engage in practical work within a government agency, learn from real-world situations, and develop essential skills for their future careers, thereby preparing them for the labour market, particularly within the public sector.

Furthermore, the agreement encompasses the exchange of academic staff and personnel, joint research initiatives, and academic service projects. These activities aim to generate new knowledge and foster innovation that will deliver long-term benefits.

This partnership marks a significant step in integrating academic knowledge with professional practice, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources for the nation’s future.
