Khon Kaen, Thailand – The Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University organized a “Pha Pa” fundraising ceremony on May 7, 2025, to secure funds for equipping the Nitipavee Srisuk Auditorium and purchasing educational materials. The event took place at the Nitipavee Srisuk Auditorium within the Chalermprakiat 6 Rob Phra Chonmapansa Building.
Luang Ta Siri Intusiri from Wat Tham Pha Daeng Anantapiti in Nam Phong district, Khon Kaen, presided over the religious proceedings. Over 500 individuals, including faculty members, staff, alumni, current students, and members of the public, attended the event to support the faculty’s educational development.
The primary goal of the fundraiser is to modernize the Nitipavee Srisuk Auditorium. This includes upgrades to its internal structure and conference equipment, such as large display screens, sound systems, recording systems, interactive learning tools, and modern teaching technology. These improvements aim to enhance the quality of teaching and learning, aligning with digital age advancements and supporting Active Learning and Hybrid Learning methodologies.
The ceremony began on May 6 with the traditional installation of the “Pha Pa” offering in the auditorium. On the morning of May 7, Buddhist rites were performed, including a food offering to monks, followed by the collective presentation of the “Pha Pa” offering.
The Faculty of Dentistry solicited donations from individuals and corporate entities, utilizing digital channels such as QR code scans via banking applications and Line Official for convenience. Donations are eligible for tax deductions. Donors contributing 10,000 baht or more will have their names inscribed on chairs in the auditorium as a lasting recognition of their support.
The Faculty expressed its gratitude to all contributors, assuring that all funds raised will be transparently used to benefit educational purposes and advance the faculty’s mission.
