KKU Strengthens International Academic Network through Collaboration with FIU, USA

On June 23, 2025, Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, welcomed Professor Dr. Khokiat Kengskool – Professor of Practice in Industrial Engineering and Director of Southeast Asia Programs at Florida International University (FIU), USA – during his visit to explore avenues for academic collaboration between the two institutions.

During the visit, Professor Kengskool presented an overview of FIU to KKU’s University Executive Board, highlighting potential areas for cooperation in education, research, and innovation. Key topics included student and faculty exchange programs across disciplines such as engineering, health sciences, social sciences, and business administration, as well as scholarship opportunities for KKU students wishing to pursue further studies at FIU.

Professor Kengskool also toured various faculties and offices, including the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Nursing, Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Central Library, and KKU Academy. These visits aimed to identify opportunities for curriculum development, digital learning technologies, and future joint academic activities.

This collaboration marks another step forward in KKU’s commitment to expanding its global academic partnerships and providing international opportunities for students and staff alike.
