On Friday, June 27, 2025, Khon Kaen University hosted its annual “Gratitude and Appreciation” event (for Fiscal Year 2024) to recognize and express appreciation for staff members who have demonstrated exceptional performance and brought national and international recognition to the university. The event took place at the Auditorium, Science Park, Khon Kaen University.
The ceremony began with a performance by the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, followed by an opening report by Assistant Professor Dr. Phattharawit Phonphinit, Vice President for Human Resources. Associate Professor Dr. Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, President of Khon Kaen University, then delivered a congratulatory speech and presented the honorary awards. These included awards for excellence in administration, presented to directors of the University Council Office, President’s Office, departments under the President’s Office, as well as directors of faculty administrative divisions and equivalent positions.
In his remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Charnchai stated: “Today’s recognition is a testament to your dedication, commitment, and invaluable capabilities that propel our university toward national and international excellence. Each award recipient is a crucial driving force behind our collective success, playing a vital role in advancing both society and the nation.”
Asst. Prof. Dr. Phattharawit further explained that the event was held to formally thank and honor the university’s personnel for their tireless efforts, intellect, and contributions, which have continually enhanced Khon Kaen University’s reputation and impact.
Khon Kaen University recently held its annual “With Appreciation and Gratitude” ceremony for 2025 to recognize and celebrate individuals who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and brought distinction to the university. This year, a total of 135 awards were presented across three major categories: 54 Awards of Honor, 2 Outstanding Civil Servant Awards, and 79 Recognition Awards for individuals who brought pride to the university.
The event is a key annual tradition at KKU, aimed at boosting morale among staff and reinforcing the university’s commitment to acknowledging the value of service, excellence, and the spirit of Khon Kaen. The warm and uplifting atmosphere of the ceremony reflected the deep sense of pride and connection among the university community.
This celebration not only honors personal achievement but also strengthens the collective drive to propel Khon Kaen University toward its vision of becoming a world-class research and development institution.
