The Royal Dental Unit under the patronage of His Majesty the King, operated by the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University, collaborated with the Por Sor Wor Mobile Medical Unit to provide free dental services to residents of Khok Pho Chai District, Khon Kaen Province, on June 27, 2025.
Established in 1979, the Royal Dental Unit reflects His Majesty the King’s steadfast commitment to public health, particularly in remote areas, ensuring that people have access to quality healthcare — especially oral health services, which directly impact long-term well-being and quality of life.
On this occasion, the Faculty organized a comprehensive team of dentists, faculty members, nurses, dental assistants, staff, and dental students, who delivered a full range of services. These included oral health check-ups, teeth cleaning (scaling), fillings, extractions, treatment of oral diseases, as well as education on basic oral care and health promotion practices at both household and school levels — aiming to encourage self-care and continuous oral health awareness in the community.
Over the past several decades, the Faculty of Dentistry at Khon Kaen University has been dedicated to this Royal Dental Mission across northeastern Thailand, having already served more than 3,000 individuals. The Faculty remains committed to continuing this important work, guided by the spirit of public service and the royal aspiration to enhance the health and well-being of all Thai people.
