Students from the College of Computing, Khon Kaen University (KKU) showcased their exceptional skills and creativity, winning multiple awards at the “CPU 3rd ASEAN GRAND PRIX YOUTH ROBOTICS & ESPORTS COMPETITION 2025”, a prestigious ASEAN-level event featuring cutting-edge robotics and esports innovation. The competition, held from July 9–13, 2025, took place at Chaopraya Convention Hall, Chaopraya University, Nakhon Sawan Province, and was contested for The Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Cup and The Princess Ubolratana’s Cup.
The KKU teams were guided and supported by dedicated faculty mentors, Mr. Wanchaloem Nadda, Ph.D., and Asst. Prof. Praisan Padungweang, Ph.D. Their mentorship played a crucial role in helping the students achieve excellence on this international stage.
In the Micro Mouse Autonomous Robotics category, which focuses on designing and controlling robots to navigate complex mazes with speed and precision, the team “Luk Jao Pho Modindang” secured Fourth Runner-up. Team members included Ms. Pornnipa Singsuwan and Ms. Thananchanok Kaewphoka.
In the Robot Athletic (KTIS) category, which challenged participants with advanced robotics knowledge and technical innovation, KKU students earned two prestigious awards. The team “Luk Jao Pho Modindang 1”, consisting of Mr. Suriya Naksen and Ms. Rachaon Changraksa, won the Gold Medal, under the supervision of Mr. Wanchaloem Nadda, Ph.D. The team “Luk Jao Pho Modindang 2”, comprising Ms. Pornnipa Singsuwan and Ms. Thananchanok Kaewphoka, claimed the Silver Medal, mentored by Asst. Prof. Praisan Padungweang, Ph.D.
This remarkable success reflects the dedication, talent, and strong teamwork of KKU’s College of Computing students, who have demonstrated their ability to apply advanced technological knowledge to innovative robotic design and control at an ASEAN level.
