KKU Welcomes Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University for Knowledge Exchange on Driving Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

On Tuesday, July 29, 2025, Khon Kaen University warmly welcomed a delegation of 50 administrators and staff members from Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University for a knowledge exchange session on “Advancing Khon Kaen University toward Sustainable Development Goals” at Sarasas Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, Si Rikunakorn Building, Khon Kaen University.

Dr. Pawana Kittiwimonchai, Acting Director of the Division of Educational Quality Development at KKU, delivered an in-depth lecture on strategies to integrate SDGs into university operations, covering every level from institutional management to individual staff contributions. The session included a detailed walkthrough of the 17 SDGs, key issues to prioritize, project selection processes, conducting OKRs (Objectives and Key Results) meetings, and formulating strategic plans to achieve targeted SDG goals. She also highlighted systematic data collection, as well as backend tracking and analysis for effective monitoring and reporting.

The presentation further introduced practical techniques for writing SDG-related news and demonstrated the application of AI technology for SDG classification, enabling better collaboration among units—particularly the Corporate Communications Division, the Enterprise and Societal Sustainability Office, and the university-wide network of faculty and departmental public relations teams. These efforts ensure alignment of communications with SDG frameworks, supported by the development of a dedicated website that allows categorization of content into the 17 SDG goals. This centralized system significantly reduces reporting time while enhancing work efficiency.

Dr. Somporn Phoolphong, Assistant to the President of Nakhon Sawan Rajabhat University, commended KKU for its systematic approach in embedding SDGs into institutional management, which has led to concrete achievements and multiple national and international awards. “Today’s visit provides an invaluable opportunity for our administrators and staff to learn from KKU’s best practices, which we believe will enhance the effectiveness of our own SDG-driven initiatives,” she remarked.

The study visit concluded with an intensive Q&A session lasting over one hour, during which NSRU participants gained practical insights and actionable solutions to apply in their respective units. The exchange marks another step toward strengthening collaboration and knowledge-sharing for sustainable development in Thailand’s higher education sector.
