KKU Societal Contribution Fair Returns for the 5th Year Over 50 Units Offering Free Services in Health, Education, Careers, and Pet Care – September 5, 2025, Khon Kaen Railway Station

The vibrant atmosphere of community engagement is set to return as Khon Kaen University prepares to host the 5th “KKU Societal Contribution Fair” on Friday, 5 September 2025, from 09:00 to 15:00, at Khon Kaen Railway Station. This annual flagship event, which showcases the university’s commitment to academic service for the benefit of society, has become one of the largest community outreach activities in the region.

This year, more than 50 participating units from both within and outside the university will join forces to provide knowledge, consultations, and services free of charge. Services are organized into four major categories.

Health services will be provided by leading faculties and medical centers including Srinagarind Hospital, the Queen Sirikit Heart Center of the Northeast, the Royal Dental Unit of His Majesty the King, the Faculty of Associated Medical Sciences, the Cholangiocarcinoma Research Institute (CARI), and the Regional Medical Sciences Center 7 Khon Kaen. The services include general and specialized health check-ups, vaccination programs, disease screening, and mental health consultations. Complementary services such as acupuncture, cupping therapy, Thai traditional massage, and nutritional advice will also be offered throughout the day.

Educational services will highlight interactive demonstrations and exhibitions, such as robotics and VR technology showcases, board games for learning, academic and legal consultations, food production demonstrations, and research-for-society presentations. The Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences will also organize multicultural activities featuring Chinese, Japanese, and Korean cultural photography, enriching the event with a cross-cultural learning dimension.

Career development and livelihood services will be presented through exhibitions of community products, agricultural and food innovations, and vocational development projects led by the Institute for Research and Development in Strategic and Coordination for Northeast Development and Khon Kaen Municipality, empowering participants with practical skills for self-reliance and career growth.

Pet care services will be provided by the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, offering free pet health check-ups, vaccinations, and parasite prevention treatments for dogs and cats.

Community members wishing to access health services are advised to bring their national ID card for registration. For influenza vaccination and traditional Chinese medicine services such as cupping therapy, it is recommended to wear loose-fitting clothing for convenience.

The KKU Societal Contribution Fair warmly invites everyone to join, experience, and benefit from this full day of free services on Friday, 5 September 2025, from 09:00 to 15:00 at Khon Kaen Railway Station.
