Khon Kaen University has announced a final call for student applications for its 13th “Research to Market” (R2M) competition, an initiative designed to transform high-potential university research into viable startups. The application deadline is just two days away.

The program is open to all undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students from any faculty or field of study at Khon Kaen University. Students must form teams of three to five members. A key requirement is that at least one member per team must have prior training or knowledge in writing business plans or delivering presentations.

Applications will be accepted until 3:00 PM on August 22, 2025. The program is limited to 150 participants, and the university reserves the right to close registration early if the capacity is reached.

The competition timeline begins with a university-level R2M Boot Camp on September 6-7, 2025, which includes a workshop on business plan development. Following the submission of business plans on September 22, fifteen teams will be selected to advance. The university-level competition to select representatives will be held on October 18.

Winners will proceed to a regional boot camp and competition between October and December 2025, with the national finals scheduled for January-February 2026. Organizers note that the schedule is subject to change.
