Recently, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University (KKBS), through the KKBS NEXT GEN BUSINESS CLUB in collaboration with the KKBS Career Excellence Centre, organized a special training program titled “Next Gen International Corner: Path to Global Success.” The program aimed to strengthen English proficiency and prepare students for the TOEIC examination, which is a crucial element for competing in the international job market.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Wilaiporn Paisarn, Assistant Dean for Student Development and Co-curricular Activities. The training featured Ms. Suwakon Inpong, also known as “Kru Lady Kae-Kae,” a well-known English and communication expert, tutor, and national-level event host, who shared her expertise through an intensive and interactive training format. The program took place at the Piangfah Conference Room, 6th floor, BS.02 Building.
Over the course of two days, the program received overwhelming interest from students, with applications exceeding the target. A total of 100 selected students participated, engaging in comprehensive training covering listening, reading, vocabulary, grammar, and test-taking strategies. Participants also completed both a Pre-test and Post-test with simulated TOEIC exams to assess their progress and boost their confidence before taking the actual test.
Preliminary evaluation results revealed that participants’ average scores significantly improved after completing the program. This initiative marks another important milestone in driving the faculty’s mission to elevate student quality to meet global standards—enhancing language skills, communication abilities, and professionalism to align with the fast-changing demands of the digital-age labor market.
