Civil Engineering Students Awarded for Sustainable Construction Innovations

Two teams of civil engineering students won awards at the Construction Innovation Challenge 2025 on August 29 for their projects focused on creating a more sustainable construction industry.

The competition, organized by Sino-Thai Engineering & Construction Public Company Limited (STECON Group), was held at the STECON Convention Center in Sai Noi district. The event aimed to provide a platform for university students to apply their engineering knowledge toward developing creative innovations. The challenge focused on solutions that increase efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize environmental and social impacts, with the ultimate goal of elevating the Thai construction industry.

This year’s event saw nine teams from eight educational institutions compete. Both teams of civil engineering students who participated successfully secured awards.

The Second Runner-Up prize was awarded to Team NextGen Masonry, which included Natchapon Roisri, Pitchakorn Khejornnet, Kornwit Thankaew, Peerawat Korkeaw, Nattapon Monkhatha, Phuwadon Wichaphong, and Thanapat Wansawat.

Team Synergy received an Honorable Mention. Its members were Kanokrat Manorat, Preedipat Kanwiboon, Peerawit On-nta, Phumrak Chuenchom, Yotsapat Santipakdee, Weerarot Burawong, and Jeerawat Wongput.

The achievement demonstrates the students’ ability to apply engineering principles to practical innovation, aligning with the competition’s goal of driving the national construction sector toward a more sustainable future.
