Students from Khon Kaen University’s Culinary Science and Technology program have achieved success at the “Mega Food Competition 2025,” a national cooking contest held from September 2-4 at the IMPACT Exhibition Center in Muang Thong Thani. The event was organized by the Thailand Chefs Association as part of the larger ASEAN Food & Beverage Exhibition.
The university sent two teams of second-year students to compete in the Junior category, for contestants under 23 years of age.
One team, competing in the “Duck Dish” category, secured a joint 8th place finish out of 15 competing teams. The team members were Krittapol Faiboon, Pratairat Tanasin, and Jidapa Namatsathaisong.
The second team earned an honorable mention and a cash prize of 3,000 baht in the “Salmon Dish” category. They achieved a joint 4th place ranking among 15 teams. This team consisted of Pirida Wongchang, Deeranagorn Pradapsri, and Apassara Pimbul.
The university praised the students for their skill and creativity, attributing their success to dedicated practice and the strong support of their faculty advisors. Khon Kaen University extended its congratulations to the students from the Faculty of Technology for bringing distinction to the institution and serving as an inspiration for their peers.
