KKU Faculty of Technology and Faculty of Agriculture Hold Workshop to Enhance Value of Dried Tom Yum Herbal Products for Ban Non Kha Community

The Food Technology program, Faculty of Technology, Khon Kaen University, in collaboration with the Faculty of Agriculture, organized a workshop on “Agricultural Product Processing for Value Addition” for the Ban Non Kha Community Pest Management Center in Wang Saeng Subdistrict, Chonnabot District, Khon Kaen Province. The training was officially opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Pimnipa Hiransun, Head of the Food Technology program.

The workshop featured a team of expert speakers in food technology: Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chantima Phoongamngern, Dr. Waranittha Sahachairungreung, Mr. Teerawat Panya, and Ms. Ariya Phoolklang, who shared practical knowledge and skills that participants could directly apply.

The Ban Non Kha Community Pest Management Center is recognized as a learning hub specializing in the cultivation of medicinal plants and environmentally friendly pest management. This training focused on developing processing skills for herbal products such as drying tom yum ingredient sets and packaging techniques that extend shelf life and preserve product quality. These practices are expected to enhance product value and create sustainable marketing opportunities for the Ban Non Kha herbal community group.
