The Faculty of Science at Khon Kaen University (KKU) has formalized an academic partnership with the Center for Crime Science of the Royal Police Cadet Academy to integrate scientific knowledge and co-develop new technologies for law enforcement.
A Letter of Intent for Collaboration was signed on September 4, 2025, during a ceremony held at the university’s Wittayawipas Building. The event was attended by faculty leadership, including Dean Angkana Boonyued.
The ceremony was followed by a special lecture and workshop on “Data-Driven Policing,” exploring the application of data in police work. The sessions were led by three expert instructors from the Royal Police Cadet Academy’s Faculty of Police Science and Center for Crime Science: Police Lieutenant Colonel Seksin Simaponkun, Police Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Peerapat Mangkhalasiri, and Police Major Manatsanan Kanthasee.
This collaboration aims to merge science and technology with the justice process, fostering the development of innovations beneficial to society. The initiative aligns with the Faculty of Science’s mission to generate knowledge and technology that address national needs.
