Khon Kaen University Showcases Advanced Food Technology to National Agro-Industry Delegation

KHON KAEN – A delegation from the Agro-Industry Academic Council Association (AIAC) visited Khon Kaen University’s Food Pilot Plant on Friday, September 5, 2025, to explore modern food processing technologies and foster nationwide academic collaboration.

Hosted by the university’s Enterprise and Sustainable Society Division, the visit provided faculty members and officials with a tour of the facility’s state-of-the-art equipment. The delegation observed key technologies crucial to the modern food industry, including a twin-screw extruder, a High-Pressure Processing (HPP) system, and a spray dryer. These technologies are noted for their effectiveness in preserving nutritional value, extending shelf life, and adding value to food products.

The primary goal of the study tour was to strengthen cooperation among agro-industry faculties from universities across Thailand. The event served as a platform for exchanging strategies to develop and elevate teaching and learning standards, aiming to bolster the AIAC’s role in advancing a strong and sustainable Thai agro-industry.

This initiative also reflects a commitment to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Specifically, it aligns with SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by promoting quality food production, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by showcasing modern industrial technology, and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production) by encouraging socially and environmentally responsible practices in the food sector.
