On September 11, 2068, the ASEAN Studies Center and the Mekong Sub-region Social Pluralism Research Center, both from Khon Kaen University (KKU), held discussions with the Faculty of Environmental Sciences at the National University of Laos (NUOL).

The KKU delegation was led by Assistant Professor Dr. Keeratiporn Jutaviriy, Acting Director of the ASEAN Studies Center, and included faculty members from the Social Sciences Group, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thanapruk Chamarat, Head of the Social Sciences Group, along with 12 other lecturers.

The visit aimed to discuss and exchange research knowledge, as well as to expand academic cooperation among researchers from Thailand, Laos, and China. Both parties reached an agreement to co-host an international academic conference in December 2068 at the National University of Laos.

Furthermore, discussions also focused on continuous collaboration with KKU’s Social Sciences Group to develop joint research and academic activities in the future.
