Khon Kaen, Thailand — Wednesday, October 15, 2025 — Khon Kaen University (KKU) organized a merit-making and alms-offering ceremony to commemorate the 4th anniversary of the College of Computing at 7:00 a.m. on the 1st Floor, Witthiwiphas Building. The ceremony aimed to bless the institution and its members while upholding KKU’s longstanding cultural traditions.
Presiding over the event was Asst. Prof. Natthamon Thanakunrangsarit, Vice President for Legal Affairs and Corporate Communication, who served as the ceremony chair. The program was warmly welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Siriphat Chiewchanwattana, Dean of the College of Computing (KKU), together with the college’s executives, faculty, staff, and students.
The religious rites were led by Luang Pu Yuwin Phuripanyo of Wat Pa Sawang Phon, Ban Nong Ta Na, Khao Suan Kwang District, Khon Kaen Province, who graciously served as the ecclesiastical chair. He was accompanied by a monastic assembly of nine monks who chanted Buddhist scriptures and received alms as part of the ceremony.
The event proceeded in a serene and cordial atmosphere. University executives, lecturers, personnel, current students, alumni, and honored guests participated in the alms-offering, followed by the chanting ceremony, the offering of meals and sacred requisites, and the receiving of blessings for auspiciousness.
The anniversary observance reaffirmed the College of Computing’s commitment to advancing teaching and learning, research, and academic services to society, alongside cultivating moral and ethical values. The ceremony fostered a strong sense of community and tradition at KKU, marking a dignified and meaningful celebration of the college’s continued development.
