The project focuses on developing skills, discipline, and academic readiness—preparing young athletes to grow into future professionals.
“This event is not only a platform for mutual learning but also a reflection of the strong collaboration among the university, parents, and coaches, working together to pave the way for our young athletes’ success, while reinforcing the university’s role as a higher education institution devoted to social development and human sustainability,” said Assoc. Prof. Pensri.
Mr. Pitool Moolsri, Director of the Division of Sports, Khon Kaen University, added that the KKU Volleyball Academy serves as a vital mechanism for developing volleyball skills and providing sports resources to network schools across the Northeastern region. The initiative aims to empower students and youth with athletic potential to progress toward professional clubs or national leagues.
He further mentioned that KKU is also implementing the “Educational Opportunity Program for High-Potential Volleyball Students (Portfolio Round 1)”, offering scholarships, dormitory accommodation, and financial support for training and competition—ensuring that student-athletes can reach their full potential both in sports and academics.
The seminar provided a forum for discussion among parents and coaches to exchange ideas on athlete development, training management, nutrition, and sports psychology—building confidence and collaboration among all stakeholders. The event also included a formal contract renewal ceremony for 21 athletes, covering the contract period from October 4, 2025, to October 3, 2026.
