Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Dentistry participates in the annual cultural festival under the theme “Sithan Navathara Himalayan.”
On 3 November 2025, the Faculty of Dentistry, Khon Kaen University (KKU), participated in the “Boon Somma Bucha Naak (Sithan KKU Festival 2025)” held under the concept of “Sithan Navathara Himalayan” (Sithan Nine Planets, Himalayan) at Si Than Lake, Khon Kaen University. The participation reaffirmed the Faculty’s commitment to preserving local culture and cherished traditions.
A unified delegation from the Faculty of Dentistry, composed of administrators, academic staff, support personnel, and dental students, joined the ceremonial procession. Leading the Faculty’s contingent were Assoc. Prof. Anoma Rattanacharoenthum, Associate Dean for Administration; Asst. Prof. Watcharin Hovichitr, Associate Dean for Education; and Mrs. Kitiporn Chaiyokul, Director of the Faculty Administration Division. They led the procession carrying the Buddha’s relics, a gesture meant to invoke auspiciousness and demonstrate the unity and solidarity of the dental community.
Participation in this event serves not only to conserve and promote the Boon Somma Bucha Naak tradition—a cultural identity marker of Khon Kaen University—but also reflects the collective commitment of the Faculty of Dentistry’s academic staff, personnel, and students. They consistently work together to uphold cultural values in tandem with continuous academic advancements.
