The Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University (KKBS), has officially been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) on November 3, 2025. This recognition places KKBS among the world’s top business schools, marking it as the first institution in Northeastern Thailand and the ninth in the country to achieve this distinguished international standard. Only about six percent of business schools worldwide across more than 70 countries have earned this accreditation.
KKBS joined AACSB membership in 2018 and has continuously developed its quality assurance system in alignment with AACSB’s rigorous standards. The final peer review visit took place on June 22–24, 2025, under the leadership and dedication of Assoc. Prof. Pensri Jaroenwanit, Ph.D., former Dean of KKBS and currently Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovation Commercialization. The process was successfully completed under the stewardship of Assistant Professor Asst. Prof. Pongsutti Phuensane, Ph.D., the current Dean of the Faculty.
This achievement represents a major milestone in elevating the quality of business education at KKBS to international standards. It marks a transformation toward an outcome-based education system, curriculum development that responds to the needs of the global business environment, the strengthening of business and industry partnerships, and the enhancement of student competencies to meet the demands of the rapidly changing world.

He further emphasized that this accreditation brings direct benefits to students by expanding their career opportunities with multinational corporations, international organizations, and leading global accounting and financial institutions. It also reinforces industry confidence that KKBS graduates possess globally recognized knowledge, skills, and professional standards.
