On 3 November 2568, the workshop “Developing AppSheet Digital Tools to Enhance Internal Administrative Efficiency within the Municipality” was held. The event was presided over by Assistant Professor Sirirak Laochankham, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Local Administration (COLA), and was attended by over 50 heads of government agencies and personnel from Sila Municipality, Khon Kaen Province.

The College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University (COLA KKU), organised this workshop as a continuation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed with Sila Municipality. The primary objectives are to elevate the competencies of local government personnel, develop innovative public services, foster collaboration between academic institutions and local organisations, and establish a digital database that will lead to sustainable local development planning in the future.
Assistant Professor Sirirak Laochankham, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University, stated, “On behalf of the College of Local Administration, I would like to congratulate and welcome everyone participating in this effort to develop digital innovation for local governance. The creation of the AppSheet tool is specifically aimed at boosting administrative efficiency. The commitment of Sila Municipality to modernise its organisation is a crucial starting point for raising the standard of local administration. The College is delighted to have the opportunity to walk this journey with you from the very first step through this workshop. This initiative will generate digital innovation for local administrative organisations, ensuring that public services are transparent, swift, and aligned with the digital age, which is essential for sustainable local development.”

Mr. Rakchart Naowarat, Permanent Secretary of Sila Municipality, revealed that participating in this activity provided a clear understanding of how digital technology can significantly enhance work efficiency. Learning the AppSheet tool, which can be used to develop practical operating systems, was invaluable. Furthermore, the event provided insights into building a digital database for local development planning. This knowledge will be adapted and applied to deliver faster and higher-quality public services moving forward.
The project was scheduled for 3 November 2568, at Sila Municipality, Khon Kaen Province. Activities included lectures, practical training, and digital tool development. These included a lecture on “Digital Innovation for Sustainable Local Development,” a workshop on “Basic AppSheet Creation and Utilisation,” a practical session on “Developing a Digital Database System for the Municipality,” and concluded with presentations and knowledge sharing among participants.
