The discussion aimed to assess the readiness of various departments within the municipality, covering aspects such as personnel capacity, suitability of user accounts, integration with existing work processes, and required technical support. This comprehensive review ensures the AppSheet system can be implemented efficiently across municipal tasks. Key areas of focus included:

  • Personnel Division: Time attendance recording system.
  • Office of the Municipal Clerk: System for booking official vehicles, meeting rooms, and project approval requests.
  • Finance Division: Asset registration system.
  • Public Health Division: System for licensing business operations.
  • Social Welfare Division: Database for the elderly and persons with disabilities.
  • Engineering Division: System for applying for building permits.

This collaboration aligns with COLA KKU’s strategy to develop public administration innovation (as outlined in the 2024–2028 Strategic Plan and the 2026 Action Plan). This strategy seeks to address the demands of local governance in the digital age and supports Khon Kaen University’s mission to enhance the quality of public services and create value for society.

COLA KKU is committed to supporting Sila Municipality in designing, installing, and adapting the AppSheet system to suit the specific tasks of each division. The ultimate goal is for the municipality to become a regional model for a “Smart Locality.” This represents another significant stride in collaborative efforts dedicated to developing “Smart Localities” and furthering COLA KKU’s strategy of leveraging innovation to uplift Thai local governance.
