Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, Strengthens Ties with Khon Kaen Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital to Prepare for Nursing Student Practicum

                   On November 25, 2025, the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University (KKU), led by Assistant Professor Dr. Sarinrut Juntapim, Head of the Department, along with Associate Professor Dr. Netchanok Kaeojanta, Assistant Professor Dr. Kwansuda Boontoch, and lecturers from the Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing department, met with the new nursing management team of Khon Kaen Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital. The meeting took place at the psychiatric hospital to congratulate the new nursing management team, strengthen cooperation and collaboration between academic institutions and healthcare facilities, and clarify guidelines for nursing students’ practicum in both undergraduate and postgraduate courses. This ensures that teaching, learning, and practical training are efficient and align with nursing education standards.

Assistant Professor Dr. Sarinrut Juntapim, Head of the Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing department, stated, “On behalf of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, I extend my congratulations to all members of the new nursing management team. I also thank Khon Kaen Rajanagarindra Psychiatric Hospital for its continuous cooperation in providing a high-quality practical training site for our students. Good coordination between academic institutions and healthcare facilities is a crucial foundation for producing knowledgeable, competent, and job-ready nurses.”

Following the congratulations, discussions focused on various aspects of nursing student practicum for both undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including scheduling practical training, student supervision during their practicum, and curriculum development to align with current situations and demands in psychiatric and mental health nursing. Both parties emphasized the importance of developing students’ knowledge, skills, and appropriate attitudes in caring for psychiatric patients.

This coordination reflects the commitment of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, to produce high-quality nursing graduates while strengthening cooperation networks with healthcare facilities in the Northeastern region to elevate the quality of education and psychiatric and mental health nursing services to meet standards and societal needs.
