The visit focused on curriculum development, digital learning platforms, and fostering collaboration in education across the Greater Mekong Subregion (GMS).
On 27 November 2025, the KKU Academy, led by Dr. Wanwisa Wannaphiphat (Curriculum Development Working Group Member), received a delegation of faculty members and students from the Faculty of Economics and Tourism, Souphanouvong University, Luang Prabang, Lao People’s Democratic Republic (Lao PDR).
The visiting group was led by Dr. Thippavanh DUANGVILAYKEO, Head of the Business Administration Department, and the meeting took place on the 9th floor of the Information Building, Khon Kaen University.
Dr. Wanwisa Wannaphiphat stated, “The KKU Academy aims to achieve ‘Connecting the World for Mastery Learning.’ We offer high-quality online courses and learning resources via the Academy’s platform, making them accessible to learners anytime and anywhere. This approach ensures that students are prepared to address global changes across various academic disciplines.”
Dr. Thippavanh DUANGVILAYKEO also shared insights regarding the transformation of educational models within her university. She noted that the Faculty and Souphanouvong University recognise the critical importance of developing learning formats appropriate for the future of education. She expressed hope for future collaboration with the KKU Academy to mutually exchange knowledge and development efforts.
Following the presentations and idea exchange, the delegation visited the hybrid studio facilities used by KKU Academy for producing high-quality online courses and various learning resources, including the KKU Academy Cast documentary series, before concluding the visit with a group photograph.
This study visit served not only as an exchange of academic knowledge but also as a bridge to strengthen relations between educational institutions within the region. Both parties are committed to collaboratively developing an education system that meets the demands of the future world, underpinned by the concept of “Connecting the World for Mastery Learning,” which ensures that all learners have equitable access to knowledge and achieve maximum efficiency.
