WORANITATH Group Donates “Counselling Room” to PCU 123 KKU, Bolstering Safe Space and Student Well-being

On 1 December 2025, the Woranitath Group, led by Mr. Chaichan Woranitath, Managing Director of Woranitath Group and a KKU alumnus (KKU 17), donated a new “Counselling Room” to Khon Kaen University (KKU) at the Primary Care Unit 123 (PCU 123 KKU). This initiative establishes a safe and private space for providing comprehensive physical and mental health counselling to students, underscoring the collaboration between alumni and the University in promoting student well-being.

The handover ceremony was held warmly. Assoc. Prof. Pensri Jaroenwanit, Ph.D, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovation, formally accepted the donation. She was joined by Asst. Prof. Prapansak Chaveerach,DVM., Ph.D, Assistant to the President for Student Affairs and Innovation Commercialization, a representative from the Director of Srinagarind Hospital, medical teams, nurses, and KKU students.

Assoc. Prof. Pensri Jaroenwanit, Ph.D expressed her gratitude to the Woranitath Group, stating, “This project arose from the need for a consultation space that offers privacy and comfort for students seeking advice. I am delighted and sincerely thank Mr. Chaichan Woranitath for his consistent and full support. This Counselling Room is not only a valuable gift for KKU students but also a symbol of the affection and bond that our alumni hold for the University. We firmly believe this space will encourage students to maintain good physical and mental well-being and empower them to seek assistance when they feel distressed.”

Representing the donor, Mr. Woraon Woranitath expressed satisfaction in supporting the education and quality of life development for younger students. He affirmed the Group’s readiness to continue collaborating with the University on activities beneficial to the wider community.

The PCU 123 KKU, located behind Dormitory 8, is fully operational and dedicated to providing comprehensive healthcare services for Khon Kaen University students. Services are available Monday to Friday from 08.00 to 20.00 hrs, covering basic medical treatment, wound care, medical certificates, registration for the Gold Card universal healthcare scheme, and specialised counselling clinics.
