KKU Faculty of Nursing Organizes 22nd Cardiovascular Patient Care and ECG Interpretation Training to Elevate Nursing Competencies to International Standards

                 On November 26, 2068, the Faculty of Nursing at Khon Kaen University (KKU) held its 22nd academic training program on “Advanced Technique in ECG and Cardiovascular Nursing.” Associate Professor Dr. Ampornpan Theeranat, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, presided over the opening ceremony. Also in attendance were Assistant Professor Dr. Nittaya Punngarm, Project Chairman, along with lecturers and participants, at Meeting Room 6325, Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University.

               The Faculty of Nursing organized this academic training program with the objective of developing knowledge and skills in ECG interpretation, managing heart abnormalities, fostering collaborative activities between the faculty and its network of training sites, and promoting quality and safe patient care.

                 Associate Professor Dr. Ampornpan Theeranat, Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, welcomed the lecturers and participants on behalf of Khon Kaen University. Participants attended both in the meeting room and via an online system for the 22nd “Advanced Technique in ECG and Cardiovascular Nursing” academic training program. The Faculty of Nursing emphasized training standards by utilizing a curriculum certified by The California Board of Registered Nursing in the United States, ensuring that participants receive internationally recognized knowledge and skills. Furthermore, the hybrid training format, combining in-person sessions at Sri Kalapreuk Meeting Room and online via Zoom, enables nursing personnel to access self-development comprehensively.

               The Dean of the Faculty of Nursing, Khon Kaen University, also thanked the esteemed lecturers: Ajarn Supachai Trai-U-Khot, an experienced expert in cardiac patient care from the United States, and Assistant Professor Dr. Maliwan Silarat, an expert from our own Faculty of Nursing, for dedicating their time to impart valuable knowledge. She expressed strong hope that all participants would gain maximum benefit from this training and be able to effectively apply the acquired knowledge and skills in their work.

              The programme runs from 26 to 28 November 2068 and includes lectures and practical workshops using a hybrid learning approach. A total of 77 professional nurses from across the country are participating, comprising 16 onsite and 66 online attendees. The programme also welcomed alumni from network institutions, including Srinagarind Hospital (Faculty of Medicine, KKU), Sirikit National Cardiac Center of the Northeast, and hospitals across Khon Kaen, Mahasarakham, and Chaiyaphum provinces, who joined via complimentary online quotas.

This training underscores the Faculty of Nursing’s commitment to strengthening specialised nursing competencies and enhancing the quality and safety of cardiovascular patient care in alignment with international standards.
