On 2 December 2025, a delegation from Khon Kaen University, led by Assoc. Prof. Pensri Jaroenwanit, Ph.D, Vice President for Student Affairs and Innovation, along with staff and students, formally joined the procession. Their participation brought the Chao Pho Mo Din Daeng, a spiritual guardian highly respected within the university community, to the central gathering of sacred objects at the City Pillar Shrine.
The ceremony is a key part of the “Boon Khun Mueang Khon Kaen 2025” festival, organized by the Khon Kaen Municipality. The event runs from December 2 to 6, 2025, at the City Pillar Shrine grounds. Its purpose is to allow residents and visitors to pay homage to the city’s most sacred figures and objects, which have been gathered in one location for the occasion.
The university’s involvement highlights its commitment to promoting and preserving the cultural heritage and spiritual traditions of the province, while also fostering morale and well-being for its faculty, staff, students, and the general public.
