President of Khon Kaen University Presides Over Almsgiving Ceremony on the 47th Anniversary of the Faculty of Public Health

 

On the morning of 26 December 2025 at 07:00 hrs, Associate Professor Charnchai Phanthongviriyakul, M.D., President of Khon Kaen University, graciously presided over a Buddhist almsgiving ceremony commemorating the 47th anniversary of the Faculty of Public Health. The event took place at the Kasalong Lawn, Arun Jirawatkul Building, Faculty of Public Health, Khon Kaen University, with participation from university executives, faculty members, and staff. The ceremony began with the offering of alms to nine Buddhist monks, followed by the chanting of Buddhist scriptures and the presentation of breakfast and traditional offerings. The proceedings were blessed by Luang Pu Yuwin Phuripanyo and monks from Wat Pa Sawangporn, Ban Nong Tana, Khao Suan Kwang District, Khon Kaen Province. Khon Kaen University

Established in 1978 (B.E. 2521 – converted to Gregorian calendar by subtracting 543 years), the Faculty of Public Health at Khon Kaen University has been dedicated to producing highly capable public health professionals equipped with ethical standards, community engagement skills, and readiness to serve societal health needs. The faculty focuses on education, research, and academic services across environmental health, occupational health and safety, and health promotion, particularly in Northeast Thailand, while striving to be a leading institution in public health within the ASEAN region under the identity of “Ready to Work Graduates.”
