Khon Kaen University (KKU) extends congratulations to the students of the KKU Demonstration School (KDS) for bringing great renown to the institution by winning a total of 10 Gold Medals and 2 Silver Medals at the national-level Thailand New Gen Inventors Award 2026 (I-New Gen Award 2026).
The competition was held as part of Thailand Inventors’ Day 2026, organised by the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT), under the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
This outstanding achievement is a source of immense pride for the KKU Demonstration School, reflecting the quality of its educational management in fostering creative thinking, research processes, and innovation, and successfully pushing these efforts onto the national stage.
The competition took place from 5 to 9 January 2026 at Event Hall 101–104, Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna, Bangkok. The event saw vigorous participation from young innovators across the nation.
Throughout the competition, KKU Demonstration School students demonstrated exceptional capability, both in presenting their projects on stage and in professionally explaining their innovations to the judges at the booth and to the general visitors. This successfully showcased their knowledge, ability, and strong academic communication skills.
On 9 January 2026, the National Research Council of Thailand (NRCT) officially announced the results and held the award presentation ceremony. The innovations submitted by the KKU Demonstration School students received the following total awards:
