The Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, has once again brought pride to Thailand’s education sector after being ranked in the 401–500 band worldwide in the Education subject area by the Times Higher Education World University Rankings by Subject 2026, one of the world’s most widely recognised university ranking systems. This achievement reflects the Faculty’s strong academic standards, research excellence, and tangible social impact in education.

The ranking results demonstrate the strength of the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, in several key dimensions, particularly teaching quality, which emphasises the development of learner competencies for the 21st century. The Faculty focuses on producing professionally competent teachers with a strong foundation in pedagogy, digital technology, and contemporary social contexts. This is complemented by educational research that addresses education reform, learner competency development, and the application of artificial intelligence in education to enhance learning outcomes and quality of life.

Over the past years, the Faculty of Education has continuously driven organizational strategy under the vision of becoming a leading Faculty of Education in ASEAN, with a strong focus on educational innovation for sustainable development.  This has been achieved through curriculum and teaching method development consistent with international standards, the creation of innovative learning platforms and competency assessment models, upgrading the potential of lecturers and researchers, and expanding academic cooperation networks with leading institutions both nationally and internationally.

Being ranked in the Times Higher Education 2026 is not only a confirmation of the potential of the Faculty of Education, Khon Kaen University, on the global stage but also a significant step forward in moving towards the goal of being a center for high-quality teacher production and development.
