Khon Kaen University’s College of Local Administration reaffirms its role as a public affairs “Think Tank” committed to creating transparent local government and sustainable societal development.
On 30 January 2026, the College of Local Administration, Khon Kaen University (COLA KKU), welcomed representatives from the Office of the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC). The purpose of the meeting was to conduct academic discussions and exchange views under the project to develop and propel anti-corruption prevention measures, in accordance with Section 32 of the Organic Act on Anti-Corruption B.E. 2561 (2018).
The discussions focussed on key issues, namely: developing measures to prevent risks of policy-level corruption within local administrative organisations, and formulating recommendations to mitigate corruption risk in managing the budget of the National Village and Urban Community Fund. These goals are to be achieved through participatory processes, gathering input, and exchanging knowledge with relevant experts and agencies.
This collaboration reflects COLA KKU’s pivotal role as an academic institution specialising in public administration, dedicated to generating knowledge, supporting public policy formulation, and strengthening governance at the local level. This effort is crucial for the transparent and sustainable development of Thai society.
COLA KKU remains committed to serving as a “Think Tank for Public Affairs” in order to establish a transparent, governed, and sustainable society.
