The Khon Kaen University (KKU) Graduate School welcomed a delegation of administrators and staff from the College of Interdisciplinary Studies, Chulalongkorn University (CU). The purpose of the visit was to exchange knowledge regarding graduate education management, utilise the Education Criteria for Performance Excellence (EdPEX) for organisational development, and manage integrated interdisciplinary curricula, aiming to sustainably enhance the quality of postgraduate education.
Professor Kiatichai Faksri, Ph.D., Dean of the Graduate School, along with Professor Waraporn Pataloon, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor Teerasak Damrongrungruang, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Graduate Research Strategy, and a team of executives, section heads, and staff from the KKU Graduate School, received the 57-member delegation. The CU team was led by Associate Professor Dhiti Bovornratanaarksa, Ph.D., Dean of the College of Interdisciplinary Studies.
The study tour took place on 6 February 2026, at Meeting Room 1, 4th Floor, Phimon Klakij Building, Khon Kaen University. Its objective was to facilitate knowledge transfer and share experiences in graduate affairs management, and to establish an academic cooperation network between the two institutions.
During the session, Professor Waraporn Pataloon, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, delivered a welcome address and presented an overview of the organisation and operational structure of the KKU Graduate School. Concurrently, Professor Teerasak Damrongrungruang, Ph.D., Associate Dean for Graduate Research Strategy, presented KKU’s guidelines for managing and operating joint programmes at the graduate level.
Key knowledge exchange during the event focused on three crucial areas: the application of the EdPEX criteria for organisational development, process-based management to drive institutional excellence in education, and the administration of integrated interdisciplinary curricula. A subsequent Q&A session allowed participants to exchange perspectives, concepts, and administrative approaches in detail.
This study tour represents a significant step in strengthening academic collaboration and advancing the quality of graduate education management at both institutions, preparing them to support the development of high-quality human resources and navigate future changes in the higher education system.
