This activity was a collaborative effort between the Vice Presidency for Enterprise and Societal Sustainability (Sustainable Enterprise and Social Promotion Centre), the Office of the President, the Division of Educational Quality Development, the Division of Central Administration, and the Division of Human Resources. It provided an opportunity for university personnel and community enterprise networks throughout Khon Kaen province to sell high-quality products, generating income and expanding market channels.
The market operates under the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly targeting SDG 2 (Zero Hunger) by establishing a sales area for safe, quality, and accessible food and products for Khon Kaen University personnel and the wider academic community.
The fifth special edition of the Talat Im Suk featured a variety of vendors from various networks, including CP Axtra, Ban Pho Tak Community Enterprise Group, Chan Dao Salad Garden, Non Ku Smart City, Ban Kho Community Enterprise, Kai Long Dong (a local chicken farm brand), and the Green Market products. The event received enthusiastic interest from staff and attendees.

Beyond functioning as an internal university market, the “Siri Market: Talat Im Suk” serves as a platform for collaboration between the university and local communities, promoting the concept of a Circular Economy and strengthening internal organisational relationships. Khon Kaen University designates the first Friday of every month as a special market day for community networks, while the daily Siri Market for university personnel operates regularly from Monday to Friday.
Khon Kaen University remains committed to utilising the SDGs as a development roadmap across economic, social, environmental, and well-being dimensions, moving towards becoming a university that grows alongside the community in a balanced and sustainable manner.
