KKBS Hosts INCBAA 2026, Bridging Technological Transformation Toward Sustainable Business Development

From 5–7 February 2026, the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University (KKBS), hosted the International and National Conference on Business Administration and Accountancy 2026 (INCBAA 2026) under the theme “Bridging Technological Transformation & Sustainable Performance.” The conference was held at the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy and the Khon Kaen University Science Park.

The opening ceremony was presided over by Asst. Prof. Pongsutti Phuensane, Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, while Assoc. Prof. Supawat Meeprom, Ph.D., Chair of the Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Service and Event Business Management, served as Conference Chair and delivered the conference objectives.

INCBAA is organized under the collaboration of the Thailand Regional Business Schools Network :TRBS NET, comprising four leading regional business schools: the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University; Faculty of Business Administration, Burapha University; Faculty of Management Sciences, Prince of Songkla University; and Faculty of Business Administration and Accountancy, Khon Kaen University. The network aims to strengthen academic collaboration in teaching, research, and academic services, while enhancing the value and international standing of business schools in the region. A key mission of TRBS-NET is to jointly organize the INCBAA Conference on a biennial, rotating basis as a platform for presenting research and fostering academic exchange among students, faculty members, and scholars at both national and international levels, contributing to the advancement of business administration and accountancy disciplines.

The INCBAA Conference has been organized four times prior to 2026:

  • 2018 – hosted by Khon Kaen University
  • 2020 – hosted by Chiang Mai University
  • 2022 – hosted by Burapha University
  • 2024 – hosted by Prince of Songkla University

In 2026, KKBS was honored to host the conference once again on behalf of TRBS-NET. The event attracted 238 registered participants from across the globe, including Thailand, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Pakistan, the Philippines, China, Japan, Jordan, India, Myanmar, the United States, and other countries, reaffirming INCBAA’s role as an international academic platform connecting scholars, researchers, and students from diverse regions. The conference was also supported by partner institutions nationwide and was organized as a Carbon Neutral Conference, promoting environmentally responsible event management and advancing knowledge in sustainable business administration.

The conference featured a wide range of academic activities, including a hands-on workshop on “Foundations of PLS-SEM in Business Research using SmartPLS,” delivered by Prof. Marko Sarstedt, Ph.D.  from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, Germany. Another highlight was the academic seminar “Creating Opportunities for Publishing in High Impact Ranking Journals for Young Researchers,” featuring editors-in-chief from leading journals: Prof. Emeritus Ajay Manrai, Ph.D. (Editor-in-Chief, Journal of Global Marketing), Prof. Hiram Ting, Ph.D. (Editor-in-Chief, Young Consumers), and Assoc. Prof. Supawat Meeprom, Ph.D. (Editor-in-Chief, KKBS Journal).

Another key highlight was the academic forum on “Digital Transformation and Responsibility in Business,” featuring keynote speakers Prof. Marko Sarstedt, Ph.D., Ms. Sukulthip Kirtipanwong, Co-Founder & Chief Impact Creator of Nice Corp SE Co., Ltd., and Mr. Worawat Sriyukt, Advisor on Sustainable Development, Mitr Phol Group.

The conference showcased 107 research papers from seven countries, covering topics such as Technology and Digital Innovation, Sustainable Performance, and current issues in Business, Economics, Management, and Accounting, including special interest areas such as entrepreneurship, finance, marketing, logistics, accounting, tourism and MICE, as well as service and event business. The program also featured the Best Paper Awards, a Conference Welcome Dinner, and the Khon Kaen City Tour by KKBS, offering participants insights into the local economy and cultural context.

Hosting INCBAA 2026 reflects KKBS’s strategic role as a driving force in advancing knowledge in business administration and accountancy, while bridging research, innovation, and technological transformation with sustainable development agendas. The conference also provided a vital platform for Thai researchers to showcase their capabilities alongside international peers, strengthening global academic networks to jointly contribute to sustainable economic and social development in the long term.

INCBAA continues to serve as a collaborative platform linking scholars, researchers, and institutions domestically and internationally to translate academic knowledge into practical applications. The next INCBAA Conference is scheduled to be held in 2028 at the Faculty of Business Administration, Chiang Mai University, in accordance with the TRBS-NET rotation scheme.
