On 10 February 2026, Khon Kaen University (KKU) executives, led by Associate Professor Charnchai Panthongviriyakul, M.D., KKU President, attended the Chinese New Year celebration banquet hosted by the Consulate-General of the People’s Republic of China in Khon Kaen Province at the Avani Hotel Khon Kaen.
The KKU delegation also included Assistant Professor Acharawan Topark-Ngarm, Ph.D., Assistant to the President for International Affairs, and Mr. Itsara Suriyakul Na Ayutthaya, Director of the International Affairs Division.
The Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Khon Kaen, Ms. Liu Hongmei, graciously hosted the event, welcoming representatives from various governmental and private sectors. The celebration was marked by a warm atmosphere, with a large attendance of esteemed guests from Thai-Chinese associations and other organisations.
KKU’s participation provided an excellent opportunity to celebrate this important festival and further reinforce the strong and cordial relationship between Thailand and the People’s Republic of China.
