The Khon Kaen University Alumni Association, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat) Chapter, organised a reunion event titled “KKU Korat Alumni Relations: A Gathering of Brick-Red Blooded Brothers and Sisters” on Saturday, 28 February 2026, at HOP Beer House Korat. The event was attended by alumni from various graduating classes, creating a lively, warm, and friendly atmosphere that strengthened the bonds among the Mor Din Daeng family. The gathering also raised funds for student scholarships at Khon Kaen University, passing on a legacy of love and goodwill to the next generation.
The event’s success was driven by the collaborative spirit of alumni, who united to reinforce the love, goodwill, and the University’s ideology of social devotion. Early alumni attended the gathering, including Mr. Aut Intaraluk (KKU Agriculture, 4th cohort), former Director-General of the Department of Agricultural Extension, who greeted attendees and offered words of encouragement. The event was chaired by Associate Professor Jaturong Tanasillangkoon, Ph.D. (KKU Education, 34th cohort), President of the KKU Korat Alumni Chapter.
Ms. Preeyaporn Phuthong (KKU Pharmaceutical Sciences, 28th cohort) reflected on the atmosphere of the event: “The heart of ‘home’ is not in the place, but in the care we show for one another. We are deeply grateful to Khon Kaen University for sending a team to join our alumni relations event on 28 February. They provided financial support for the event and contributed university souvenir shirts for our lucky draw prizes on this happy night. This support is more than just a number; it is a source of encouragement that reminds us, the alumni, that the University always embraces its children. On that same evening, we, the KKU Korat community, extended our love back to our home by donating 10,000 Baht for student scholarships, providing support for the next generation to move forward with confidence. The fund was received by Mr. Passakorn Tueprakone, Head of the Scholarship and Alumni Affairs Section. This is a beautiful picture of ‘giving and receiving’—a bond that warmly connects alumni, current students, and the University. I am proud to be part of this family and am deeply moved by the endless power of sharing.”
Dr. Lampai Srithamma (KKU Technology, 23rd cohort), owner of HOP Beer House Korat and a key figure in uniting the KKU Korat community, explained her vision. “At HOP Beer House Korat, we aim to produce quality beer to offer consumers a great choice. But more importantly, we use this establishment as the headquarters for the Khon Kaen University Alumni Association in Nakhon Ratchasima and as a regular meeting place for the KKU community. We also open our doors as a learning centre for KKU students, welcoming them for both site visits and internships.”
